Trump receives Gen As at the unprecedented White House meeting

Islamabad:

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, said Wednesday that he received the honor of meeting with the field marshal also at an unprecedented White House meeting and attributed it for being fundamental to stop the war between Pakistan and India.

Trump’s lunch with Campo Mariscal also represented a great impulse in the American ties of Pakistan, who had greatly languished under Trump and his predecessor Joe Biden, since both regularly robbed India as part of the efforts to retreat against China.

Speaking to the journalists of the Oval office after the meeting, Trump said the discussion played several key regional issues, including Iran.

“They know Iran very well, better than most,” Trump said, noting that although Pakistan is not aligned with Israel, he includes both countries and their dynamics. “They may know Iran better, but they see what is happening, and he agreed with me,” he said.

Trump said the main reason to organize the Army Chief was to thank him for avoiding greater escalation with India and helping to put an end to tensions. “I wanted to thank him for not entering the war, just ending the war,” Trump said.

It is rare that Trump praise any visitor foreign dignitary since most foreign leaders had very bad experience in meeting with the president of the United States.

Trump mentioned that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also recently visited the White House. He said the United States was working in commercial agreements with Pakistan and India. “We are working on a commercial agreement with India. We are working on a commercial agreement with Pakistan. Both were here.”

Reflecting on the broader implications for regional peace, Trump said: “That could have been a nuclear war. Those are two nuclear powers: large, large and great nuclear powers.”

He emphasized the role of leadership in the dissemination of tensions, stating: “Two intelligent people … They decided not to move forward with that war.”

Trump concluded by saying that he was “honest” to meet the Pakistani military leader.

When asked what he wanted to achieve, Trump told the White House journalists: “Well, I stopped a war … I love Pakistan. I think that (Indian Prime Minister Narendra) Modi is a fantastic man. I talked to him last night. We are going to make a commercial agreement with Modi of India.

“But he stopped the war between Pakistan and India. This man was extremely influential to stop her on the side of Pakistan, modi on the side of India and others,” he made, referring to Munir.

“They were going to do it, and both are nuclear countries. He stopped him.”

Pakistan and India were involved in a four -day conflict in May, exchanging missiles and drones for the first time since both parties became nuclear powers in 1998.

The military conflict was caused by India, which launched missile attacks within Pakistan after Pahalgam’s attack.

The two parties agreed to stop the fire negotiated by the United States. Since then, President Trump was repeatedly credit to avoid an important war between the two nuclear powers, for india discomfort.

The meeting lasts more than two hours and problems related to the bilateral ties of Pakistan-United States, the recent tensions of India-Pakistan and the current situation in the Middle East were some of the articles of the agenda.

It was for the first time that any president of the United States received a Pakistani army chief in the White House. President Barrack Obama entered the strategic dialogue of Pakistan-United States and held a brief informal meeting with the then general head of the Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani army.

But no president of the United States was the host of the Pakistani army chief exclusively before. An official statement on the Pakistani side was not yet issued, but the sources said the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere and that the head of the Army is expected to hold more meetings with other US officials.
