Last month, Dyson announced the Pencilvac, a new addition to the alignment of the nursery of Brand, and apparently the thinnest vacuum in the world. Yesterday I had the opportunity to try one, and it turns out that this strange appearance is a great soft engine.
Pencilvac does not resemble its standard wireless stick vacuum. The engine, filters and cup of dust are hidden inside the broom -shaped handle, which is recorded in a tiny 1.5 inches / 3.8 cm in diameter. The head of the floor is equally surprising, with its four spongy cone -shaped rollers.
Less obvious of the photos of the press is how maneuverable this cleaner is. The cleanest head can turn in the place and is cleaned from the front and from the rear sides. Like all Dyson’s best vacuum cleaners, it can be flat to the ground, and because the handle is symmetrical, it can also sustain it from anywhere. You can make figures on your floor if you can get your correct angles.
The maneuverability is impressive, but there are many more interesting characteristics in addition. The ‘Quadcanic’ floor head is new on this machine, and is designed so that if you meet long hair, you will move towards the narrow end of the cone and appear as a package on the side, at which time you can easily aspire. The soft material is perfect for delicate hard floors, and the cones stand out from the housing so that it can clean directly in the corners, and even give their socket a little dust as it progresses.
Dyson has added its green laser badge (which appeared for the first time in the detection Dyson V15) to the cleaner head. This helps launch shadows in the debris on the floor, so you do not lose even the smallest earth’s speck. Here, it is located in the center of both sides of the head of the floor, and is as useful as ever.
Who is Pencilvac for?
While Dyson says that Pencilvac can be used on the carpet, it is really specialized for hard floors. Sponging rolleros are perfect for hard floors and the laser really enters itself on a solid surface.
While it looks like a strong contender for the best PakGazette vacuum for the summary of the hard wood floor, the soft rollers will not shake the fibers enough to offer a deep cleaning on the carpet. The suction is also much lower than you will find in the main flagship range, partly due to the engine and partly due to the most open floor head design.
For many, it will be a courtesy machine instead of its main emptiness, but if you want something for fast cleaning on hard floors, the Pencilvac looks perfect. Complete review to follow when I had the opportunity to test it correctly.
At the time of writing, I have no price information for Pencilvac, but I know it is scheduled to go on sale in Australia in August 2025, before reaching the markets of the United States and the United Kingdom at some point in 2026. If you cannot wait so long, you can consult the households of Dyson V12 Detet Slim, which is a-for our smallest homes of money.
