The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strong travel advice, urging citizens to avoid trips to Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria due to the worsening of the security situation in the region.
In an official statement published on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the notice aimed to guarantee the safety of Pakistani citizens, advising them to postpone all non -essential trips to the four countries to the notice.
“The Pakistani citizens are currently advised to reside in these countries that have extreme caution, remain vigilant and minimize the non -essential movement,” the ministry said.

The notice follows the increase in regional tensions and security threats, although no specific incident was cited. However, the Ministry denied the reports that circulate on social networks that suggest a closure of the border between Pakistan and Iran.
Pakistani citizens were also urged to remain in regular contact with Pakistan’s diplomatic missions to obtain timely updates and assistance.
