- Facebook will soon implement Passkeys for Facebook on mobile devices
- Passkeys offers greater security and login easier than passwords
- Passkeys for Messenger will also be available soon
Meta has introduced Passkey support for Facebook on mobile devices, which will significantly reduce the possibilities of someone pirate their account.
Instead of using a clumsy and easily guessed password to log in, you can now use a fingerprint, face or pin to verify that you are starting session in your account.
Better yet, passkeys are often faster than passwords, which means that all their Facebook experience should be even easier.
Facebook receives passing passes
Passkeys for Facebook on mobile devices iOS and Android “will soon be available,” said Meta, with Passkeeys for Messenger that it will be launched in the “next months.”
Passkeys are a much more resistant to passwords and unique codes, since they cannot be stolen and are much less susceptible to malicious sites that seek to steal their login details, such as typographic insufficiency domains. They can also be a good alternative to the use of a password administrator that requires round -trip constants between applications to enter your password.
Your Key Key is stored locally in your device, which means that goal has no access to it. An unfortunate disadvantage of Passkeeys is that if he loses his mobile device that stores his passage key, it can be a bit difficult to return to his account and configure a new pass key.
Meta also announced that Passkeys will also be used to verify payments through Meta Pay, and soon it will also be used to protect their backup copies of encrypted messages once Passkeys For Messenger arrives.
To configure a passkey key, go to the Facebook application menu and then click Account Center → Password and security → Master key. If Passkeys is available, Facebook can even ask you to configure one the next time you log in.
