Islamabad:

The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) plans to meet on July 1 to consider the appointments of main permanent judges for the Superior Court of Islamabad (IHC), the Superior Court of Sindh (SHC), the Superior Court of Peshawar (PHC) and the Superior Court of Baluchistan (BHC).

The JCP meeting will be convened in Islamabad under the presidency of the president of the president of Pakistan, Yahya Afridi, at 2pm. After the deliberations, the Commission will propose the name of one of the three most important judges of each Superior Court to elevate the higher position.

Interestingly, a CB of the Supreme Court presented its order on Thursday in a case of seniority of judges, declaring the transfer of three judges to the IHC in February of this year and the subsequent change in the IHC seniority list was in accordance with the law and the Constitution.

Now, the president of the Interim Supreme Court of IHC, Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, who was among the judges transferred to the Court, will be at the top of the list of higher judges in the superior court of the capital.
