- Midjourney has launched its first AI video model, V1.
- The model allows users to encourage images in five -second movement clips.
- The tool is relatively affordable and a possible rival for Google see or sora of OpenAi.
Midjourney has long been an image magician of popular, but now the company is making movements and movies with its first video model, simply called V1.
This video to video tool is now available to the community of 20 million people from Midjourney, who want to see five -second clips based on their images, and up to 20 seconds of them extended in five -second increases.
Despite being a new company for Midjourney, the V1 model has enough to make comparisons with rival models such as OpenAi Sora and I see Google 3, especially when you consider the price.
For now, Midjourney V1 is on Beta Web, where you can spend credits to cheer any image you think on the platform or load yourself.
To make a video, simply generate an image in Midjourney as usual, press “animate”, choose your movement settings and let the AI get to work.
The same goes for loading an image; You just have to mark it as the starting frame and write a personalized movement message.
You may let AI decide how to move it, or you can take the reins and describe how you want the movement to develop. You can choose between the low movement or the high movement depending on whether you want a quiet movement or a more frantic scene, respectively.
The results that I have seen certainly fit at the present time in the production of video of AI, both good and bad. The Undanny Valley is always waiting for users to catch, but there are some surprisingly good examples of Midjourney and initial users.
Ai video battles
Midjourney’s video is a lot of fun from R/Midjourney
Midjourney is not trying to compete in front with Sora or I see in terms of technical power. These models are making 4K cinematographic quality images with photorealistic and narrative lighting long based only on the text. They are trained in data terabytes and emphasize the consistency of the frame and the temporal stability that Midjourney does not claim to offer.
The Midjourney video tool does not intend to be the next Hollywood CGI pipe. The launch is more about being easy and fun to use for independent artists or tinkerers on the average.
And it really comes out as quite cheap. According to Midjourney, a video work costs almost the same as the increase in the scale, or the value of a cost of an image per second video.
That is 25 times cheaper than most AI video services in the market, according to Midjourney and a superficial examination of other alternatives.
It is probably the best, since many Hollywood go after Midjourney in court. Currently, the company faces a high -risk demand for several Disney, Universal and others for the claims that trained its models in copyright.
For now, Midjourney’s generators for images and videos remain active, and the company has plans to expand its video production capabilities. Midjourney is causing long -term plans for complete 3D representation, scenes control and even immersive world exploration. This first version is just a springboard.
Sora’s defenders and I probably don’t have to panic, but maybe they should be attentive to Midjourney’s plans, because while they are busy building the AI version of a Studio Camera team, Midjourney has just delivered a magical flipbook to anyone with a little cash for their credits.
