“I have never had any problems for any of the teams for which I have played. This guy crossed the line several times.”

He was pressed even more, but refused to elaborate what led him to jump and balance the fan in the stands.

“He crossed the line, and I would like to leave it like this. I have never happened something like this in my eight years in baseball.”

Multiple videos online showed Santana approaching the area where the fan was stopped. He seemed to be standing next to a guard or security officer and indicated in the direction of the fan before jumping and giving a swing. He was removed by a teammate before leaving the bullpen.

TO Detroit tigers spokesman confirmed to The Atlético that the fan was expelled from the game.

Santana said he spoke with the manager Don Kelly and expressed “repentance” for his reaction, adding: “You know I am a professional.”
