Finally I obtained my hands in a Nintendo Switch 2, and having come from an Oled switch (and an original switch before that) and being a player who uses it almost exclusively in portable mode, he was also anxious to find the right accessories.
Of course, Nintendo has its own official case for Switch 2, and there are dozens of other options available on the web, see Amazon, but Belkin’s entry into the accessories market for the popular console had intrigued me. And in a nutshell, I think there is a lesson here for other accessories manufacturers in the form of the two cases of Belkin for Switch 2.
There is the load case for Nintendo Switch 2 and the travel case for Switch 2, both come in three tones. Although I would like Belkin to add some vibrant options, I also appreciate the total protection of the console, together with a lot of storage. However, where both really succeed are that they are not bulky, and the design does not interpose in the path of utility.
Let’s start with the travel case: it has a very affordable price to only $ 29.99 / £ 17.99 / Au $ 39.95 and comes in three tones: coal, sand or green. I would love a little more variety here, especially because Nintendo has not dropped the switch 2 in any fun hat, but it is not the end of the world.
It is built from an external polyester housing quite durable with a softer interior, similar to a velvet, opens and closes perfectly with a zipper around it. It is also the size of the Switch 2 and is specially designed to maintain it. When you open it, the main bed where Switch 2 is located are up, it has clefts in the upper corners for the rear triggers of the Joy-Con 2s.
I can easily store the switch 2 with zero concerns, throw this in a backpack or carry the case alone. The upper inner part of the case is a mesh mesh, a sponge network for easy storage of other accessories such as cables, batteries, cleaning fabrics and really anything else. There is also a dedicated place for an Apple Airtag. As someone who has treated with an airline that loses my luggage that fortunately had a plane inside, this is a brilliant addition.
However, even better, there is a folding slot for 12 game cartridges for Nintendo Switch 2. I am aware of the controversy that surrounds virtual game cards, but if you are bringing an extensive collection of Nintendo Switch games for the new generation or if you have asked for a lot of order, this travel case allows you to bring your main 12 with you.
In general, a very functional design, but the travel case does not add much weight or thickness either. With a switch 2 inside, the entire package has less than two pounds to 1.81 pounds, and with some accessories, it does not extend much more than that. I especially love that you have an adjustable handle, which makes it easy to wear.
Belkin’s travel case is about perfecting his switch 2, and does not add a massive or additional touch; In fact, from abroad, it is difficult to know what is inside. Belkin generally adopts this minimalist and simple approach with its design, and I really like here. Simply take a look at the Official Vision Pro Case of Apple versus Belkin’s; The latter is less Malvavisco and much smaller.
Now, I also quickly learned that the battery life of the switch 2 is not excellent, and Belkin’s load case offers a solution, which is a slightly larger travel case with a dedicated place to load through a battery. Fortunately, the highest price of $ 69.99 / £ 49.99 / AU $ 99.95 includes a 10K energy bank and a load cable. Which is stored just below the lower part of your switch 2, once inside, and is tied with an intentional cable that can be connected directly to your console when it is inside.
The main tray still fits switch 2 as a glove, and the inside of the top is almost identical to the travel case. That means twelve points for game cards, a plane slot and a mesh network that can contain some things. This is really an option specially designed with an integrated battery, although I know it adds a little more weight.
It also has a handle, but it lacks additional ornaments: it is a bit more subtle. I would like this to have a transfer load, but that is not the case here.
Anyway, however, I love these cases because they really stand out from the rest. Both are simple additions that make it very easy to travel with Switch 2, both close and far, and the travel case is an affordable option that spares in protection.
I think your switch 2, if you have managed to get one, will be at home. Both are also backed by a two -year guarantee.
