The heavyweight champion of MMA, Jon Jones, retires from the competition, announced the president of UFC, Dana White on Saturday.
Jones is considered the best mixed martial artist of all time.
White says Jones reported the promotion of his decision to retire on Friday. By virtue of Jones’ retirement, Tom Aspinall is now the undisputed heavyweight champion. Jones retires with a 2-1 record.

“Jon Jones called us last night and retired,” White said during a press conference in Azerbaijan. “Jon Jones is officially retired. Tom Aspinall is the UFC heavyweight champion.”
Jones rose from the semi -marked weight division in 2023, capturing the heavyweight vacancy championship on Cirryl ganes. Jones then defended the belt in a third -round Tko victory over Stipe Miocic in UFC 309 in November.
Jones has been an open defender of President Donald Trump during the last year.

“A great, thanks to President Donald Trump for being here tonight,” said Jones, who sent the multitude of Madison Square to a frenzy.

Then, Jones used the energy of the crowd to start an “USA. Use!” Song, who joined happily.

“I am proud to be a great American champion. I am proud to be an American Christian champion,” Jones added.
That night, Jones even walked to where Trump sat at the ring with Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, the children Don Jr. and Eric, Kid Rick, Vivek Ramasswamy, singer Jelly Roll and others and gave him his UFC title title.
