The first beach complex in the city opens


Karachi:

The mayor, lawyer Murtaza Wahab inaugurated the Cove Beach complex in Hawk’s Bay on Friday, the first beach complex in the metropolis established under a public-private partnership model (PPP).

While talking at the opening ceremony, the mayor declared that Karachiitas no longer need to travel abroad for experiences of Playa Premium, since the city now has its own world -class leisure destination. The complex, completed in just six months, offers avant -garde facilities and is now open to the public.

The mayor described the project as a milestone achievement for the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and a step towards the modernization of city infrastructure.

Wahab announced that another beach complex is in process, which is probably developed in Ibrahim Hyderi or Malir, ensuring broader access to high quality recreational spaces for citizens. He stressed that improving the Karachi leisure and tourism sector is still a priority under his administration.

The mayor described several key projects aimed at improving the habitability and economic vitality of Karachi, which include cleaning 46 main drains of rainwater to avoid urban floods during the monsoon; Embellamiento de II Chundrigar Road, the financial center of the city; Preservation of historical reference points such as dense Hall, Empresas Market and Frere Hall; Development of a mangrove conservation park to promote environmental awareness.

The inauguration was attended by the mayor of Viceal Salman Abdullah Murad, the parliamentary leader of the City Council Karamullah Waqasi, the deputy parliamentary leader Dil Muhammad and several presidents and officials of the UC.

In a separate meeting with the Managing Committee of the Sindhi Muslim Housing Society, Mayor Wahab ordered the KMC Land Department to take immediate measures against illegal constructions and invasions on properties owned by KMC. He requested weekly progress reports to guarantee the transparency of the application.

Meanwhile, the mayor has formally written to the Federal Minister of Commerce and president of the Board of the Export Development Fund (EDF), Jam Kamal Khan, expressing a deep concern about Karachi’s continuous negligence in the allocation and use of export development funds.

The mayor has urged the Federal Government to ensure that Karachi receives his legitimate support of support and financing, according to his fundamental role in Pakistan’s economy.
