Rawalpindi:
A serious security violation occurred in the Judicial Complex of Rawalpindi when a group of enraged people launched a violent assault on a murder suspect during police custody during the peak hours of the court on Saturday.
The suspect, Hammad, who faces charges in a case of murder of police custody, was physically attacked by members of the plaintiff, despite being handcuffed.
According to reports, the mafia, 15 to 20 strong people, began hitting, kicking and assaulting the accused in the sight of the police. In an effort to protect the suspect, the police quickly transferred him to Court number 27 and closed the door. However, the attackers persecuted them, violently hitting the court door in an attempt to enter.
When the chaos broke out, the President Judge was forced to leave the current hearing and take refuge in his cameras. The closed door left lawyers and litigants caught inside the courtroom for a significant period, while the shock continued outside.
The attackers continued to interrupt the procedures, assaulted the police staff and tried to enter the room. After breaking the police control points, they finally fled the judicial complex. The incident established alarming gaps in the security agreements for judicial officers, court personnel and detainees within the complex.
After a written request from the investigating officer, a formal case was recorded at the Linnes Civil Police Station under the relevant criminal codes. From now on, no arrests have been made.
The sub -inspector Qamar Sadiq, published at the Saddar Bairooni Police station and assigned to the investigation, said the defendant was taken to the courts to obtain a physical return. The demanding party, already present at the facilities, launched a premeditated attack against the suspect.
He confirmed that he managed to assure the defendant inside a court room, but the mafia tried to make his way, attacking both the door and the officers present.
The disturbance led to a suspension of judicial procedures, while police officers and attackers met outside the courtroom. The individuals named in the FIR included Raja Manan, Raja Matloob, Ghufran and Raja Usman, along with other unidentified suspects.
All the accused people managed to escape after breaking the police security barriers.
