Today’s threads took me to my happy place, since I was a music journalist for years in the 2000s and spent a lot of time in concerts or in Spotify in my free time.
The three ‘broken’ bands here have reached my lists; I could never see the speakers, but I have seen David Byrne live, playing his songs, and I can recommend that anyone who has the opportunity to do the same.
Smashing Pumpkins also plays a role in one of the best episodes of all Simpsons, Homerpalooza, in which the band leader presents with the words ‘Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins’ and Homer responds ‘Homer Simpson, smiling politely’. It works best in context, honest.
How did you do it today? Avise me in the comments below.
