Only a few days before surprisingly confirm that he would retire, the UFC Jon “Bones” star Jones was accused of abandoning the scene of a car accident in February.

It is unknown why the criminal complaint was filed four months after the accident, but was presented at the Metropolitan Court of Bernalillo County last Tuesday, and Jones has a bond reading hearing scheduled for July 24. The position is a minor crime in New Mexico.

The complaint scored the authorities who responded to an accident where an intoxicated woman, who did not wear clothes under the waist, was found in the front passenger seat of a vehicle. She states that Jones was driving the vehicle, and he fled the scene, according to the Journal albuquerque.

The woman told the Police that she had consumed alcohol and fungi while she was with Jones at home, and recalled having needed a change of clothes. The next thing he remembered was being at the vehicle accident scene.

A man who believes he was Jones was supposedly spoken by a police service assistant when the woman called him from the scene. The man on the phone did not answer the questions about his identity.

During the conversation, the complaint alleges that the man who believed he was Jones “seemed to be very intoxicated and made statements that implied his ability to use lethal force through third parties.”

Jones was interviewed in person days after the accident, and supposedly confirmed that the woman left her house poisoned and called him after the accident, according to the journal alburquerque.

Jones has addressed legal problems during his career at UFC, which many consider one of the best performances of all time.

The CEO of UFC, Dana White, announced on Saturday that Jones had informed them that he would retire on Friday, renouncing his unquestionable heavyweight championship belt to Tom Aspinall as a result.

“Jon Jones called us last night and retired,” White said in Azerbaijan. “Jon Jones is officially retired.”

Jones confirmed his retirement with his own publication on social networks.

“This decision occurs after a lot of reflection and I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the trip I have experienced over the years,” he wrote in X. “Since the first time I entered the octagon, my goal was to overcome the limits of what was possible in this sport.

“I have faced incredible maximums and some difficult minimums, but each challenge has taught me something valuable and made me stronger, as much as a person as a person.”

Jones was 28-1 during his UFC career. His last fight was a victory of Tko in the third round over Stipe Miocic in UFC 309 in November.
