It was 1997 when Jennifer Love Hewitt first appeared in I know what you did last summer.
Now, more than two decades later, he is returning to the franchise and repeating his character in the sequel to I still know what you did last summer.
“When I heard it was happening, I think my honest reaction was: ‘Oh my God. That’s great for them.’ I never imagined them even asking me to do it,” he told him Extra.
The actress said her character will serve as a bridge for the 1990s and the youngest public.
“I have confidence that the mothers who buy these tickets so that their daughters see the movie are there because they remember who Julie was, and they are where I am now, and we carry it with pride,” he said about the restart.
“And so … their children will love all young people in the movie and I’m there for mothers,” Jennifer explained.
