Peshawar:
Five people, including two women, lost their lives, while three others disappeared after a boat overturned in the popular tourist destination of Shahi Bagh in the Kalam valley of the Swat district, the local police and rescue officials said on Sunday.
The rescue official said that seven members of a Mardan family were enjoying a boat ride on Saturday, when the boat overturned in the river. Police reported that of the seven people on board, two women were confirmed dead while a child and two others remain missing.
Local residents managed to rescue a child and the operator of the living ship. However, the search operation was ongoing for the three victims, including a child.
