The Los Angeles Clippers star, James Harden, was accused of negligence, since his nephew was sued for alleged sexual assault and rape that occurred at a New Year’s Eve party in December 2024.

Marisa Watley accused Judge Armani Blackburn of sexual assault and violation in the lawsuit filed in Harris County, Texas. The lawsuit accused Harden of negligence “due to the conduct of his home security staff after the party,” according to a press release from Wigdor Law.

A lawyer was not included for Blackburn. Pak Gazette Digital communicated with the Harden agency and the clippers to comment.

Watley said that Harden’s security team eliminated two of his friends who had attended the party at home with her despite “her supplications that she was still inside.” Watley’s friends contacted their sister, Elaina, who later contacted Harden’s sister, Blackburn’s mother. The lawsuit said Elaina Watley was able to get a photo for Harden’s security, but team members said there was a woman at home with Blackburn, but the woman was not Marisa Watley.

The lawsuit claimed that if Harden’s security team would have “acted in a responsible manner”, then they would have stopped the alleged violation.

“From New Year’s Day, when I reported the violation of Mr. Blackburn to the police, I was perplexed by how the security of Mr. Harden behaved that day, it is painful to imagine that all this could have stopped on time,” Watley said in a statement. “I hope this complaint pushes security employees to act more responsible when women are in danger.”

Watley’s lawyers said they plan to hold Blackburn and Harden for their alleged actions.
