Based on the rumors of the iPhone 17 that we have heard so far, we expected the iPhone of the 2025 base model to obtain a larger screen of 6.3 inches, in front of the 6.1 -inch screen of the iPhone 16, and the update can now have been confirmed by a manufacturer of third party cases.
An Indian Amazon list detected by Gsmarena was showing an iPhone 16 Pro screen protector of Spigen, since it was also compatible with the iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Pro. The list has now been reviewed to eliminate any mention from the iPhone 17.
The involvement is that the iPhone 16 Pro, the iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 PRO will have the same screen size of 6.3 inches. It coincides with a leak that arose last month, although it is possible that smaller bezels, instead of any increase in the physical size of the phone, is the reason for the largest screen.
As for the iPhone 17 Pro, all indications have been that the phone will retain the same 6.3 -inch screen as its predecessor. That could make the choice between the standard model and the PRO model a bit more complicated than last year.
Another screen update
Another rumor of iPhone 17 that is doing the rounds is that the four models will come with 120Hz screens, which Apple describes as promotion. That means softer effects and displacement, and support for a screen always on.
Again, it would blur the line between the iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Pro, so we will have to wait and see which decisions finally makes Apple. It is possible that the standard iPhone 17 can continue with the chipset last year to provide a more affordable option.
It seems almost certain now that we will also get an air phone from iPhone 17, replacing the iPhone 16 Plus. The talk has been that the iPhone 17 air will have only 5.5 mm thick, from front to back, although some of the benefits that they are so thin could get rid of the size of the chamber touch on the back.
The series will be rounded by the iPhone 17 Pro Max (or perhaps the iPhone 17 Ultra), which is said to get the 6.9 -inch screen of the same size as the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The phones are expected to be released in September.
