Aaron Rodgers’ legendary career will apparently come to an end after this season.
Rodgers, 41, said he is “quite sure” that he will retire after this season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The future member of the Hall of Fame signed a one -year contract with the Steelers in early June.
“I am quite sure that this is, that is why we had just made a one -year contract. The Steelers did not need to put any additional year in that or something. This was really about finishing with a lot of love, fun and peace for the race I have had,” Rodgers said during a recent appearance in “The Pat Mcafee Show.”

“I have played 20 years, they have been a long race, and I have enjoyed it and what better place to finish than one of the fundamental franchises of the NFL with [Steelers head coach] Mike Tomlin and a large leadership group and boys in a city that expects you to win. “
The four -time MVP of the NFL said he referred to returning this season due to his love for the game instead of not wanting to retire after a two -year disappointing period with New York’s jets.
“I think it’s not really ‘I can’t go out like this’. It’s ‘I love the game’ and there has been a beautiful relationship: it was my first love when I was six years old dreaming of playing the field marshal and being in a Super Bowl and winning the Super Bowl,” Rodgers said.
The Steelers Campo Marshal said he spoke with Tomlin every week in his entire free agency and that those conversations were “really significant” for him. Rodgers also said he didn’t “need” return to the field this season.
Why the Super Bowl champion, Joe Theismann, believes that Aaron Rodgers has ‘potential’ to succeed with the steelers

“I wanted to be there for a mini -family once I decided that everything was going to be.
The former Packers star said that once he retires, he will disappear from the public eye.
“When all this is done, it is the Söze keys, you will not see me. I will not be in the public, I do not want to live a public life. That is why it is so strange what is happening now with my private life, because I do not want to live a life in the public eye.”
For his last season, Rodgers said he will “empty the tank” for Steelers. “I am going to give the Steelers everything I got and empty the tank and be super comfortable and satisfied with what happens,” Rodgers said.
“Obviously, we dream of playing at the highest level in the biggest games, but the fact that I can return to Pittsburgh, play for Mike (Tomlin), to know the organization, become separated from a special franchise that has had such an incredible success.”

With the jets last season, Rodgers launched for 3,987 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 17 games.
The Steelers last season had 10-7 with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields as their regular field marshal. However, Wilson and Fields departed in free agency.
The Steelers expect Rodgers to help lead the team in the playoffs and finish their career by bringing a super bowl back to Pittsburgh.
