Nashville, Tenn. – The most important question that is directed to the training camp for the Minnesota Vikings revolves around the Marshal JJ McCarthy, the team’s first round of the team that could not play the field during the regular season last year due to a torn meniscus.
Chief coach Kevin O’Connell and the rest of the organization have remained firm that McCarthy, the product of Michigan Wolverines, is his kind that advances despite the fact that other options are on the table.
The team’s words were backed by not signing a true veteran competitor who could eclipse McCarthy in the season, or write a quarterback.

After completing a mandatory mini -family, McCarthy has been impressing his teammates with what he can do in the field. I was in the meeting rooms and on the sidelines all last season, but now it is the closed wing TJ Hockenson is already excited that everyone sees what it can do.
“That is my dog,” Hockenson told Pak Gazette Digital from McCarthy while attending the fifth annual university of closed wing (TEU), the three -day summit directed by the stars of the NFL Travis Kelce, George Kittle and Greg Olsen. “He is one of the best people I have been with. Only a young boy who is hungry and wants to learn, wants to say, he is making a trip here soon, so he wants to be great in this league and respect him and is willing to do things and difficult things to be great.”
Bears Caleb Williams rejects the development of friendships with NFL counterparts: “He wants a competitive advantage”
Hockenson really believes that McCarthy has a brilliant future in front of him, and said he wants to be there “in every step of the way to help him navigate and help him become who can be” inside and outside the field.
But McCarthy is a year retired from competitive football, begging the question of what the Vikings will obtain exactly from the field marshal position.
Last season, O’Connell found all Sam Darnold’s strengths, since the third general York-New York Jets had a race season in Minnesota. Maybe that is exactly what Vakings expect it to happen with McCarthy too.
However, Hockenson believes he has what he needs to be great.
“He has that change. He turns on that when he goes up to the field,” he explained. “You really don’t realize that when you’re just hanging out and talking to him, but he really wants it. He really wants everything to be perfect, and is a perfectionist safely, which is incredible. This is how you need to be as a field marshal in this league.”
Hockenson also said that “McCarthy’s arm talent is crazy”, which was a blow by some evaluators who left the university.
“Know, [the ball] Ciñeras on you and he can turn it. It has been very fun to see it in Otas, and [I] I can’t wait to go out with him at the camp and throughout the season. “

Meanwhile, Hockenson returned to Teu to continue strengthening his link with his classmates in the league. It is easy for Hockenson, who lives only 15 minutes in the low season, so he makes a point to come here, work and learn among his teammates who also want to improve.
“Stilling here and having all the boys, it is good to be close to Travis, be close to George. I mean, I’m close [Kittle] Every day, we are to each other every day. To see some of the boys outside the field, and really make the connection, really knowing them out of football, it’s a lot of fun. So that is what I try to get out of him every year, learning some things in the field, some little things, helping men every year and then being able to make those connections and build relationships out of the field with those guys. “
