King Charles, former gardener, praises the monarch.
Jack Stooks, who worked at the Royal Gardens for 20 years, reveals that the king really was interested in his work.
“I was a lot in the ball all the time. If I got home on the weekend, it would be in the garden checking what has been done, what has not been done,” Jack revealed.
“He would be like, ‘This needs to do, that needs to do,” Jack recalled. “Therefore, it was really good to know that you are working for someone who really welcomed everything.”
Jack told Mirror: “I was interested in the garden that knew what was happening. So, we all had the feeling of satisfaction that we would do something well and we knew that I was actually being enjoyed and admired by the person who possesses it.”
