An amended lawsuit filed in federal court earlier this month alleged that Jay-Z raped a 13-year-old girl along with Sean “Diddy” Combs during a party in 2000.
Jay-Z denied the allegations on social media and criticized the lawsuit, calling it part of a “blackmail attempt” by the plaintiff’s attorney. Jay-Z’s lawyers did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Shortly after the report about the lawsuit appeared online, a fake news story about Jay-Z circulated on YouTube and other social media platforms.
Some users attributed the news to celebrity website TMZ, but the claim was false as the media outlet did not report on his arrest.
A YouTube video received more than 90,000 views claiming the rapper was arrested by the feds.
Jay-Z’s lawyers on Wednesday asked a judge to quickly remove the rapper from a lawsuit in which a woman alleges she was sexually assaulted by Jay-Z and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs when she was 13 years old.
The unidentified woman recently added Jay-Z, whose legal name is Shawn Carter, to her lawsuit against Combs in Manhattan federal court, alleging that she was attacked by the singers in 2000 after Combs’ limo driver hit her. He offered to take her to an MTV Video Music. Awards afterparty.
