- The filtered code suggests that Grok is building a spreadsheet tool
- The new service would allow users to work with Grok on spreadsheets
- There is no official confirmation, but Xai is eager to keep up with his rivals
Far from simply taking care of the world of social networks, according to reports, Xai is now creating a new feature for its Grok model that would allow you to access and edit documents and files.
The filtered code has suggested that XAI is developing an advanced group editor for Grok, with spreadsheet support that takes the center of the stage, since it seeks to expand its appeal and attract more users.
The movement could mean that users obtain more tools and characteristics to adjust their work, but at the risk of the files analyze (and possibly load) the Grok and even X systems in themselves.
Grok on your spreadsheets?
The reverse engineer, Nima Owji, who leaked the findings in X, said the tool will allow users to talk to Grok and ask him to help them while editing the files.
It is not clear why only spreadsheets are involved, instead of documents, slide presentations or image creators, but the movement seems to be part of an XAI campaign to compete with much larger openai, Google and Microsoft rivals, all of which have already intertwined intelligent co -filts of AI in their productivity tools.
The owner of X, Elon Musk, has publicly clear its objectives of converting the service into an “application of everything” capable of handling a wide amount of daily tasks.
Recently, the company launched Grok Studio, which allows users to collaborate with the service through a divided screen interface, which allows them to have help when generating documents, code, reports and even games.
Similar to the online collaboration platform of the Google work space, XAI has also revealed that users can create specific work spaces to maintain and organize specific files and conversations in a single location.
Google Workspace users can currently communicate with the AI Gemini assistant of the platform when creating documents, allowing them to obtain help or suggestions in specific areas or issues, as well as additional ideas from other files or documents.
XAI has not commented on the filtration, and has not yet responded to a request for comments from Techradar Pro.
