- Microsoft is trying to push its co -driver from Chatbot AI, but it is reaching obstacles
- Copilot is fighting the rival chatgpt
- Chatgpt launched much earlier, giving an advantage to the model
AI Chatbot models such as Chatgpt and Microsoft Copilot are gaining a great traction in the workplace and beyond, but the Openai model is beginning to show dominance in the business world.
TO Bloomberg The report has claimed that even the companies that have bought Copilot plans are struggling to convince users to make the change, with the drug manufacturer Amgen buying a 20,000 user plan, only for employees to continue using chatgpt more than a year later.
It is not the only client who reports problems, since workers reject Microsoft’s co -pilot in favor of Chatgpt, which is used more at home and, therefore, become more familiar to many.
An advantage
Microsoft uses Openai models to light co -drivers, and offers characteristics very similar to chatgpt, with information summaries, email writing, data analysis and image generation.
That said, the impulse of Chatgpt and the existing user base seem to be giving the advantage to the chatbot.
As of June 2025, ChatgPT has almost 800 million weekly active users and 3 million commercial users who pay, while Copilot stagn a bit, with 20 million weekly users during the past year.
Theoretically, the race should be a bit more uniform, since Windows is such a dominant operating system in the professional world. Microsoft sellers have traditionally used Windows compatibility as an effective point of sale, but that is no longer the case, the report suggests;
“The company [Microsoft’s] The sellers knew that Chatgpt dominated the Chatbot Consumer Market, but he hoped that Microsoft owns the business space for attendees of AI thanks to the relations of decades with the corporate IT departments. But when Microsoft began selling co -drivers to companies, many office workers had already tried Chatgpt at home, giving the Chatbot a first movement advantage. “
Despite negotiating with companies such as Volkswagen, Accenture and Barclays, who signed agreements for more than 100,000 accounts in agreements that are worth ‘tens of millions’ a year, Microsoft still is left behind OpenAi at its user base, and organizations have to encourage workers to use the chatbot.
The news occurs after Microsoft has announced large -scale dismissals, between 6,000 and 7,000 jobs worldwide that are eliminated, for a value of almost 3% of the company’s workforce, only two years after 10,000 people were reduced (5% of the workforce).
