Khairpur:
The Prison Inspector has suspended 15 prison officials, including the Superintendent and Superintendent of the Khairpur central prison, after a deadly shooting attack against the prisoners who return from the Court. An inmate died and two were injured in the incident.
According to prison officials, unidentified assailants opened fire on Tuesday in the adjacent complex of the prison when the prisoners returned from a judicial hearing. The prison police hired the attackers, managing to capture a suspect who suffered wounds during the exchange.
Two other gunmen escaped from the scene and remained in general, with the local police that carried out search operations.
The Ig Fida Hussain Mastooi prisons ordered Superintendent Abdul Ghaff Chandio to be reported to the Central Police office while suspending it together with the assistant superintendent, the officer to stop, two boss councils and seven agents.
Police have formed a three -members investigation committee headed by DIG MALIK ASLAM prisons to investigate security lapses.
Initial investigations suggest that the attack resulted from a previous dispute. IG Mastooi warned that any negligent personnel would face strict disciplinary action, emphasizing zero tolerance for security violations.
