Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the United States on Thursday for helping to negotiate fire between Iran and Israel, accrediting the leadership of President Donald Trump for progress.
His comments arrived during a cordial telephone call with the Secretary of State of the United States Marco Rubio, in which both parties discussed bilateral ties and regional developments.
According to an official statement, the prime minister also thanked the Rubio Secretary for Washington’s role in helping to facilitate the high Pakistan-Indian fire, describing him from a significant contribution to regional stability.
The two leaders agreed to continue working closely to strengthen the relations of Pakistan-United States, with an approach to the expansion of trade and economic cooperation.
By discussing the widest situation of Middle East, Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to play a constructive role in promoting peace throughout the region.
The Rubio Secretary welcomed Pakistan’s efforts and expressed the interest of the United States in collaborating to guarantee long -term regional stability.
Iran-Israel conflict
The Israel bombing campaign, launched with a surprise attack on June 13, eliminated the upper level of Iran’s military leadership and killed the main nuclear scientists.
Iran responded with missiles that pierced Israel’s defenses in large quantities for the first time.
Iranian authorities said 627 people were killed and almost 5,000 wounds in Iran, where the scope of the damage could not be confirmed independently due to strict restrictions in the media.
Twenty -eight people were killed in Israel.
Israel claimed to have achieved its objectives of destroying Iran’s nuclear sites and missiles; Iran claimed to have forced the end of the war penetrating Israeli defenses.
During the war, both the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump, publicly suggested that he could end the fall of the entire System of Clerical Government of Iran, established in his 1979 revolution.
