Rawalpindi:
The opposition leader in Senate Sibli Faraz said Thursday that PTI’s political committee had unanimously decided to present the budget of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and that they would consult the head of PTI Imran after knowing it.
He added that any Imran suggestion would be approved by a two -thirds majority.
In statements to the media outside the Adiala prison together with the Finance Advisor of the KP government, Muzammil Aslam, Faraz claimed that there was a conspiracy to avoid the presentation of the KP budget to create a constitutional crisis.
He said that before presenting the budget, the founder of PTI had instructed him, Muzammil Aslam, Omar Ayub, Taimur Jhagra and Ali Amin Gandapur to consult each other.
“We made several attempts to meet the founder of PTI, but no permission was granted,” Faraz said. “Therefore, the budget was presented in line with the decision of the political committee.”
He dismissed the “less one” or “except two” talk, saying that people were still firmly with the founder of PTI. Passing the budget had defeated the conspiracy, he said.
In addition, he declared that the budget is provisional and that changes can be made in the direction of the PTI founder.
