Specifically, 12 millimeters of rain were recorded in Shahrah-E-Fafaisal, nine millimeters in the areas of the old city, 7.8 millimeters in the defense phase II, five millimeters at the airport and two millimeters at University Road.
The PMD has indicated that the system on the region, which includes the Indian area of Gujarat and the Northern Sea of Arabia next, has been strengthened and is now a low pressure system.
This system is expected to bring intermittent rain to several areas of Sindh, particularly in the lower and coastal regions, during the next two or three days.
Despite yesterday’s rain, the weather remains wet, with temperatures in the city that vary between 37 and 40 degrees Celsius.
The forecast predicts moderate to strong rains from the afternoon until the end of tonight, with some areas that potentially experience thunderstorms accompanied by heavy downpours.
The monsoon spell is expected to continue through Karachi and Sindh until July 1, with more expected rains in the next few days.
