- Microsoft is replacing its blue death screen with a black death screen
- This comes after decades of original BSOD service
- Is scheduled to be implemented later this summer
Microsoft is gradually remodeling Windows 11, with an updated Xbox application aligned for new Rog Xbox Ally hand computers that introduces an aggregate games library, but it seems that the updates of the games are not the only things in the Microsoft radar.
As reported by Verge, Microsoft is replacing the blue screen of the death of Windows 11 (BSOD) with a black death screen, after decades of the presence of the latter in multiple Windows iterations. Apparently, he wants to provide more clarity and concise information to help solve problems with user errors.
This new design should begin to be implemented later this summer, and if I am honest (although Microsoft has not declared it), it seems that this change is part of the large update package created for a more friendly game experience with your hand. However, (as the edge suggests), it can also be an response to the 2024 Crowdstrike interruption.
It seems a strange design change, at least in the sense of going from blue to black, especially after the original is presented for many decades. At least, we can still continue calling the error message ‘Bsod’ to abbreviate. However, the stop code will still be present, which helps provide a greater vision of possible problems.
Analysis: Do not fix what is not broken Microsoft …
While I am not completely angry with this change, I am more worried if this introduces problems. In my experience, there is hardly any bad with the current Bsod error message; I am sure that this update will be beneficial for problem solving, but I have the feeling of “not fixing what is not broken.”
When passing through the Microsoft history with recently updates, it does not influence the confidence that the transition to the black screen of death does not end breaking the functionality in one way or another. Of course, there will always be an error or two with different compilations of Windows 11, but some of its updates earlier this year have been alarmingly problematic.
I have also remained shy in the operating system update, as well as NVIDIA GPU controllers, which previously caused errors. Windows left games like Assassin’s Creed Origins and other Ubisoft titles that are blocked or cannot be executed, while (speaking of the new black death screen) GeForce controllers of Nvidia continued to cause black screen errors during the controller facilities or at the user’s login.
If this is implemented without important complications or mistakes, then I will be happy; Mainly it will be useful for PC for Handheld Windows Games, since the decrease in the quantity of text is easier to analyze on a smaller screen. I just hope that does not become a bigger problem than it should be. Goodbye Bsod, and welcomes the new Bsod …
