Karachi: A young Tunisian tried to commit suicide in Lyari after being divorced by her Pakistani husband, according to the Local Police, when the Ministry of Interior intervened to offer an exit permit after the incident news coverage.
Senda Ayari, nineteen, resident of Tunisia, became friends with Muhammad Amir of the Khadda market, Lyari, through social networks.
His friendship became love, which leads to marriage. Senda arrived in Karachi with a Pakistani visa on November 28, 2024 to marry Amir.
Initially, the couple lived happily. However, minor disputes were carried out in recent months, which finally led him to divorce her. Since then, Senda has been caught in Pakistan, since its 90 -day visa expired on February 18. He has not been able to return to his country of origin and has expressed a deep anguish for his situation.

According to the police, the woman had tried to commit suicide before arriving in the police. In a video statement, Senda explained his reasons, stating: “He planned to buy a ticket and leave me. Amir did not worry me or paid attention to me.”
Police said the woman has not filed any formal complaint of abuse or violence against Amir. Given their vulnerable condition, the police are currently providing refuge and making arrangements for their safe return to Tunisia.

According to the family, after marriage, Senda began to show strange behavior. He often argued with Amir and even became physically aggressive, disturbing the peace of the house. Finally, the issues intensified to the point where the separation became the only option.
The family also said that Senda refused to listen to someone, often acted erratically and would speak incoherently. Sometimes, he left the house without Dupatta or shoes and stopped outside, causing anguish to those around her.
