The Baitul Mal of Pakistan has reaffirmed the resolution of the institution to combat poverty through inclusive policies, emphasizing specific efforts in education, medical care and economic empowerment to elevate marginalized communities throughout the country.
Speaking to the application, PBM Senator MD Capt (RETD) Shaheen Khalid Butt reiterated the transforming role of the institution in the fight against poverty and the restoration of human dignity throughout the country.
He stressed that PBM child welfare efforts include operating 160 children’s labor rehabilitation schools and 41 sweet homes in Pakistan. These facilities not only provide emotional education and support, but also offer children the opportunity to claim their childhood in safe and enriching environments.
