Byu’s field marshal, Jake Retzlaff, intends to transfer, since he believes that a suspension of seven games comes from school for a violation of the Code of Honor derived from an accusation of sexual aggression against him.
Retzlaff has only one year of eligibility as a postgraduate student, and with a possible suspension, ESPN reported His intention to go elsewhere for the 2025 university football season.
Salt Lake Tribune reported the anticipation of Retzlaff of the long suspension of Byu, which is directed by the Church of Jesus Christ of the last days.

Participating in consensual premarital sex is a violation of the Byu Code of Honor, which is a strict set of rules that instruct students to “live a chaste and virtuous life,” according to the Tribune.
While Retzlaff is not Mormon, the Code of Honor applies to all students enrolled in Byu.
A woman, whom she was referred to as Jane Doe AG, is accusing Retzlaff of sexual aggression in a lawsuit filed in May. Retzlaff is being sued for alleged battery, assault and intentional inflicence of emotional anguish for an alleged incident in his apartment in November 2023.

Retzlaff, 22, is not being criminally accused.
According to the lawsuit, Salt Lake City’s wife says he met Retzlaff through social networks before accepting visiting him in his department to play video games, according to ESPN.
The lawsuit states that the two began to kiss, but Retzlaff ignored their requests to stop and continued “climbing the situation.”

The original complaint claimed that Retzlaff attacked the woman’s neck and raped her after she tried to get out of her apartment, according to ESPN. However, the new presentations on Friday have denied the accusations, claiming that the two participated in consensual sex.
“Mr. Retzlaff specificly and categorically denies each and every one of the accusations that he bit, violated or strangled [the woman]They are ridiculous and strange accusations, all of which are false and false, “Retzlaff’s lawyers wrote, through ESPN.
Retzlaff’s lawyers also accuse the extortion woman, claiming that the field marshal never listened to the woman for more than a year. But, now that he is “a NFL draft prospect”, the demand is leaving, said USA Today, citing Friday’s presentations.

Retzlaff was transferred to Byu in 2023, and led the way in 2024 with an 11-2 record for the Cougars.
It is unknown where Retzlaff will be transferred, or which teams may be interested in him for this year.
