President Zardari signs the Finance Law 2025-26 in Law

Islamabad:

President Asif Ali Zardari has officially signed the Finance Law 2026 after its approval of the National Assembly and the Senate. The firm took place after the bill was approved through the necessary legislative processes.

According to the Constitution, the bill, which includes several fiscal measures for the next financial year, was presented to President Zardari after being debated and approved in both Chambers of Parliament.

After the signing of the president, the official notification of the Gazette has been issued, which makes the provisions of the bill immediately effective.

On June 10, the Minister of Finance, Muhammad Aurengzeb, announced a federal budget of RS17.6 billion rupees for fiscal year 2025-26, putting stress in the government approach to economic stability and growth.

In its budgetary speech in the National Assembly, tarnished by the Opposition Pandemmonium, Aurengzeb described the key economic achievements, saying that remittances have reached $ 31.2 billion, with projections to increase to $ 37-38 billion at the end of the current financial year.

Last week, the National Assembly approved the budget with certain amendments, rejected the calls of the opposition to public consultation and clear the way for a series of tax reforms, income measures and government spending plans for next year.

The session, chaired by the speaker Ayaz Sadiq, began with Aurengzeb moving the Finance Law 2025, which was taken for a clause clause review.

Opposition members proposed an amendment to delay the approval of the bill and seek a public consultation, but this amendment was overwhelmingly rejected.
