- Many companies are replacing human workers with AI
The Amazon CEO, Andy Jassy, has repeated once again that AI could soon replace some workers at Amazon.
Ai could soon have “less people doing some of the jobs,” Jassy said.
Fortunately, according to Jassy, ”there will be other jobs” and AI will help free people from “memory work” that “will make all our jobs more interesting.”
AI will replace some workers
“As with each technical transformation, there will be fewer people doing some of the works that technology really begins to automate,” said the Amazon CEO. CNBCJim Cramer in an interview.
Jassy added that Amazon will continue to hire in areas such as AI and robotics, despite the fact that the company constantly reduces its staff in recent years, with just over 27,000 jobs cut since 2022. Jassy confirmed in June 2025 that this trend will probably continue over the next few years.
Improving Internet efficiency while cutting heads is not a unique trend, and many main companies are following their example. The CEO of Salesforce, Mark Benioff, said that AI was now doing 30% to 50% of the company’s work.
Many workers are not yet totally convinced of the benefits of AI, especially if those benefits can only be harvested if their work is replaced. The last arrival at the workforce are particularly concerned about how bosses are implementing in their work.
A recent survey also found that some workers are seeing the benefits of technology, but suffer stress in the workplace for fear that they can be replaced.
There have also been called for the work week to reduce 5 days to 4 if it is believed that the increase in productivity that many companies boast, but it will be difficult to balance with boards that seek to reduce costs, improve productivity and increase efficiency.
