Islamabad:
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, ISHAQ Dar, presided over a monitoring meeting of the Steering Committee on the importation of sugar.
After the previous deliberations, the Committee confirmed the decision to import 500,000 metric tons of sugar through the Commercial Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) and the private sector.
The prime minister stressed the government’s commitment to guarantee a stable offer of essential products at affordable prices. The meeting was attended by the Minister of National Security of Food Rana Tanveer Hussain, Sapm Tariq Bajwa and others.
