After immediately seeing the word “wing” in the grid, I thought we were looking for bird parts. And although it was wrong, the first word I found, Feather, still made me believe that this was the case, not that I could think of anything beyond the peak.
After obtaining twig, I realized what we were really looking for, but I did not get the spangram until the end, despite the word “nest” hid in sight.
I didn’t realize that you could buy nesting material until I looked for it on Google, but some people put wool balls in their bird feeders in spring to help our feathered friends. With the population of birds under threat from the loss of habitat, it seems the least we can do.
