Describing itself as a hybrid lay (Defi) center.

Bitvm was introduced at the end of 2023 by Robin Linus as a means to enable Bitcoin’s rollups, allowing faster and faster transactions without compromising network safety.

Bob’s Bridge takes advantage of Bitvm to allow BTC to transfer to the roll and then bring it back so that it can retire.

The Bob Ethos center is that it will use BTC Real instead of a wrapped version of the asset such as fuel for defi services. Some projects use a bitcoin form wrapped to take the value of BTC to its ecosystem for use in defi applications, such as batteries with its SBTC token.

“Just as ETH is still ‘eth’ in Ethereum’s rollups such as optimism and referee, BTC in Bob is still native and simply called ‘BTC’,” Bob said in a shared announcement with Coindesk on Wednesday.

Rollups such as arbitration transactions that are then established in Ethereum at a low price, using fraud tests to guarantee their correction. Bob says he is doing something similar to this in Bitcoin.

The co -founder Alexei Zamyatin described this as a “clear distinction” between his offering and wrapped versions of BTC, in a telegram message for Coindesk.

The Testnet debuts with the support of a large number of main cryptographic companies that will operate nodes on the Bitvm bridge, such as developers of the P2P.org and Lombard developers, the Solv Protocol of Platform Defi, the cryptographic capitalists of Venture Rockawayx and the manager of Amber Group digital assets.
