- Fuert Webcam and Infrarojos Session Make daily video calls
- No 4K resolution causes these monitors to feel outdated for today’s professional exhibition needs
- VIGSSIC VG41V USB-C Series Limited to 15W is an important disappointment for modern laptop users
The VG41V series of the New ViewSsic marks the company’s latest effort to forge space in the commercial monitor segment.
These monitors are directed to videoconference and productivity users by integrating Windows Hello Hello, a 5MP web chamber of incorporated and improved ergonomic designs.
On paper, many boxes mark, but in practice, alignment leaves some open questions, particularly around the resolution of the screen and energy delivery.
The benefits of productivity cannot mask a resolution commitment
The VG41V series includes three models: the 2441V VG2441V and two 27-inch options, the VG2741V and VG2741V-2K.
While the VG2741V-2K admits the QHD resolution (2560×1440), the VG2741V and VG2441V only admit the FHD resolution (1920×1080).
None of them reaches 4K resolution, which is increasingly expected in high -end office monitors, but still, the alignment introduces reflective touches such as the enabled facial recognition for infrared through Windows Hello.
The 120 Hz update rate and Eye Protech+ (Technology without blinking and low blue light) make the extended sessions more bearable, features that align well with the ViewSsic productivity mark.
This series allows the insurance login in digital work spaces, which could attract companies that manage access to the device without passwords.
It also integrates a 5MP webcam, inclined by ± 5 ° and includes a physical privacy cover, while dual microphones and stereo speakers admit a more complete conferences configuration.
For remote workers or office-based equipment that regularly joins zoom or equipment calls, this package could provide a plug-and-play convenience that some value.
However, the feeding of the VG41V series through USB-C introduces a commitment.
While USB-C is undoubtedly a flexible standard for video, data and load, its implementation here feels uncomfortable.
ViewSsic offers USB-C ports, one upstream for data and video, and one downstream that admits only 15 w of load.
That is enough to load a small phone or accessory, but it will not feed a laptop or meet the needs of many desktop settings.
This could frustrate users who trust a single cable solution, especially Apple users looking for the best MAC Mini or MacBook Pro monitor.
That said, the series works well in ergonomics, with height, inclination, turn and pivot settings. It also includes a compact support to maximize the desktop space.
The VG41V series of ViewSsic uses recyclable containers with FSC certification and meets the EPEAT and Energy Star standards.
The VG41V series will reach selected markets in North America, Asia and Europe in the coming months.
The price of the VG41V series is still unknown when writing, which makes it difficult to judge whether compensation and energy delivery are ultimately justified.
