Karachi:
The newly recruited young people in the police force of several districts have been sent to carry out security tasks in Jamshoro for Muharram without receiving any formal training.
According to reports, the Police Department has not made arrangements to provide compulsory meals to these service recruits during the last five days.
Young people are buying food and water from their own pockets or depend on the charity meals of Nazar and Nayaz de Muharram Majalis.
In a viral video, the recruits expressed their anguish, saying: “We have been deployed for the security of the Muharram procession, but we have not yet received any training. Despite being service, they do not provide us with meals or assignments. We face extreme difficulties.” When he approached him, Jamshoro’s sho said: “If I get something, I will give you something.”
In their message, they have appealed to the IG Sindh, Dig Hyderabad and other higher authorities to realize their condition.
Due to the shortage of police personnel in the Jamshoro district and the surrounding areas, recently recruited officers have been assigned Muharram’s security duties. Many of them have been sent from districts such as Naushahro Feroze.
