While appearing for an interview in a recent episode of The cityBlum House Production CEO sincerely shared three reasons why he believed they contributed to the low performance of the film.
“I have had pain all weekend, and I have been thinking about all this too much,” he began. “I thought: ‘Do you know what? If Blumhouse is in a depression, I would like to tell that story. I don’t want other people to tell that story.”
Sharing the first reason, Blum said: “We all thought M3Gan was like Superman. We could do anything. We could change the genres. We could put it in the summer. We could make it look different. We could turn it from a bad boy into a good guy. And somehow we classically thought how powerful it was really with her.”
Releasing it against Tom Cruise’s Impossible mission and Brad Pitt’s F1 It was the second reason, he continued: “We thought she could live in the summer. We are going from a small horror movie to a store post.”
