The contest to eat hot Dogs of Nathan 2025 will have the legendary competitive dining room Joey Chestnut on the Réy Island’s promenade after the 2024 competition will be lost.

As a result, many believe that they will claim their belt.

The Chestnut Association with Impossible Foods caused a problem last year, and ended up keeping it out of the competition. This year, however, Chestnut announced that he and the organizers had found common land in sponsorships.

“I am delighted to return to the famous Food Contest of Hot Dogs of July 4 of Nathan. This event means the world for me. It is a precious tradition, a celebration of American culture and a large part of my life,” Chestnut wrote in X.

“While I have associated and continue associated with a variety of companies, including some in plant -based space, those relationships were never a conflict with my love for hot dogs. To be clear: Nathan’s is the only hot dog company with which I have worked.

“I respect that there were differences in interpretation, but I am grateful that we have been able to find common land. I am excited to return to the Roney Island stage, do what I live to do and celebrate on July 4 with hot dogs in my hands! Stay with hunger!”

Chestnut is hungry to be a champion again, and the betting houses do not have anyone remotely close to defeating him.

Last year’s winner Patrick Bertoletti, who ate 58 Hot Dogs in 10 minutes, is likely to defeat Chestnut and the rest of the field.

If he wins, Chestnut would extend his record for the famous contest to 17 yellow belts.

Although he did not participate in last year’s competition, Chestnut faced another legendary competitive dining room, Takeru Kobayashi, in a special Netflix event called “Uncotal Meat.” He ate 83 Hot Dogs, which marked the most eaten in the history of competitive food without being submerged in the water.

On the women’s side, Miki Sudo is expected to have won three times in a row, obtain his eleventh pink belt in Coney Island for his career. His greatest competition will be Domenica Dee and Michelle Lesco, the last of which broke the streak of Victorias de Sudo in 2021.

For those who do not know Nathan’s rules, the time limit is only 10 minutes in men and women’s competitions.

The contestant who not only consumes, but also remains low, most hot dogs and buns within the 10 minutes limit are determined by the winner.

In the rare case that a draw occurs, the contest will go to a “dining room” without time, where the first contestant to leave a specific number of hot dogs, with buns, wins.

The last time there was a dining room was 2008, where Chestnut won eating five hot dogs and buns in 50 seconds.

The women’s contest will occur first at 10:45 am et before men go up at noon on July 4.
