Kansas City Royals need everything they can get if they want to return to the postseason; Fortunately, they have Bobby Witt Jr.
Witt Jr. is not presenting the same numbers he made last season that took him to a second place in the MVP vote of A (only from Aaron Judge), but his athletics and his surprising ability are still there.
In the upper part of the seventh, tied against the Seattle sailors, Vinnie Pasquantino was on the plate with Jonathan India in Third and Witt Jr. secondly.

Witt is one of the fastest people in the league, so a base blow in all likelihood would be a two -run advantage. However, it did not arrive as easily as expected. Pasquantino found a hole beyond the right side of the painting he was playing, which certainly helped the real in this case. And Witt Jr. was obviously moving.
The launch, however, beat Witt Jr., but a label was never made.
This is because Witt avoided sliding out outside, and beyond the plate, then removing his entire body to extend the exit behind him with his right hand.

Lucas Erceg and Taylor Clarke obtained two outs each, and Carlos Estévez launched 1 1/3 tickets to obtain his 24th rescue. Estévez gave an initial home run to Dominic Canzone in the ninth and had runners in second and third place after a wild launch with an out, but struck out Julio Rodríguez and made Raleigh go to the ground to finish the game.
Witt Jr. has now hit safely in his last 23 road games, breaking the 42 -year Kansas City record of Hal McRAe.
Kansas City (41-47) is now 13.0 Detroit Tigers games, which are entering Al Central de Al, for the leadership of the division.
