The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shafqat Ali Khan, declared that cross -border terrorism remains the central challenge in its ties with Afghanistan, stating that India is “sponsoring terrorism” actively in the Afghan territory.

In a weekly informative session on Friday, he said that Pakistan has repeatedly expressed concerns about terrorist sanctuaries in Afghanistan that represents serious threats to regional stability. “Contra -terorism remains a point of conflict,” he said, accusing India of “sponsoring terrorism against Pakistan.”

Khan also condemned the demolition of the BJP government of more than 500 sanctuaries in Uttarakhand as evidence of rising Islamophobia. He described the law as “another demonstration of the virulence with which the current dispensation in India is pursuing its anti -musulmana agenda.”

In response to Indian aggression after Pahalgam incident, Khan warned against unilateral militaristic aggression. “No state can allow another to violate its sovereignty and territorial integrity at will,” he said, stating Pakistan’s preparation to defend his sovereignty “with complete vigor.”

Referring to the comments made by the Minister of External Affairs of India, S Jaishankar in the alleged nuclear blackmail, Khan said that this talk exposes the insecurity of India about Pakistan’s defense capacity.

He said that Pakistan’s conventional forces are “adequate to dissuade India without self -imposed nuclear blackmail suffered by Nueva Delhi.”

In the Treaty of the Water of the Indo, he welcomed an interim ruling of the Permanent Arbitration Court that rebuked the unilateral suspension of the Indian Treaty. Describing the action of India as “totally illegal,” said the prize “claims Pakistan’s position in a very clear way.”

In addition, Khan confirmed that Pakistan and India exchanged prison lists on July 1 under the 2008 Consular Access Agreement: Pakistan shared 246 detainees of detainees of Indian or Indian origin, while India delivered a list of 463 Pakistani prisoners. He urged both nations to guarantee the well -being of the detainees.

He also highlighted Pakistan’s participation in regional diplomacy, saying that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the delegation at the 17th Eco Summit in Azerbaijan, where he held bilateral meetings and the advanced political agenda of Pakistan. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq also contacted Türkiye’s leadership before the imminent visit of Hakan Fidan’s Foreign Minister.

In response to whether Pakistan would seek mediation in his dialogue with India, the spokesman said that Islamabad prefers diplomacy about the conflict. “It is the choice of India if you step on the path of belligerence or take measures for dialogue and reconciliation.”

Meanwhile, he firmly reiterated unwavering Pakistan’s support for Palestine. He requested a sovereign Palestinian state along the borders prior to 1967 with Al Quds al Sharif as its capital, emphasizing that any high fire in Gaza must end the occupation and respect the Palestinian rights.

“The way to peace is not found through normalization under coercion, but through justice, freedom and dignity for the Palestinian people,” he added.
