A curfew has been announced in several areas of Bajo Waziristan del Sur for Wednesday. According to a notification issued by the district administration, the curfew will remain in force from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm
The notification, signed by the attached commissioner Muhammad Nasir Khan, declared that section 144 has been imposed in several areas, including Tehsil Shakai, Tiarza Gate, Anzarchina, Azizabad Chowk, Tanai, Karb Kot and others.
During the curfew, the entire movement will be strictly prohibited, and all markets, stores and shopping centers will remain closed.
The district administration warned that anyone who violated the curfew will face a strict legal action under section 188 of the Pakistan Criminal Code. Citizens have been advised to take their vehicles from the road at least 100 meters away if they see the vehicle of the security forces, to avoid any adversary incident.
The Administration has appealed to the public that cooperates completely in the maintenance of the law and order and that strictly adhered to the directives issued.
It is worth mentioning that sooner on Tuesday, a curfew for the Angoor Adda road was also applied along the border between Pakistan-Affanistan, causing a significant inconvenience for the public.
Meanwhile, the public members have expressed concern about the notification of the curfew, which suggests that schoolchildren, emergency patients and vehicles that transport fruits, vegetables and essential goods should be approved to guarantee the continuity of emergency services.
