Strong winds and drop in temperature are expected on December 24 and 25

Karachi will experience strong winds on December 24 and 25, with gusts reaching speeds of 25 to 35 km/h, as forecast by Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz.

The winds, coming from the northeast, are expected to bring a notable drop in the city’s temperature.

Daytime temperatures will be around 25°C, while at night they could experience a sharp drop, reaching between 9°C and 11°C.

This cold wave is not just limited to Karachi. Several areas of Balochistan, including Quetta, Kalat, Zhob and Ziarat, have already experienced sub-zero temperatures, with Quetta recording temperatures of -5°C and Ziarat -7°C.

Also, several regions of Lahore and Mirpur AJK received the first rain of the season on Monday, with more rain expected in Lahore in the coming days.

Snowfall has also started in Murree, signaling the shift to colder weather across Pakistan.

  • Murré: 1°C
  • Peshawar: 3°C
  • Lahore: 10°C
  • Karachi: 13°C
  • Gilgit and Muzaffarabad: 2°C
