Angel Reese became one of the few WNBA players who will be on the cover of the NBA 2K26 video game when he launches at the end of this month, sharing the honor with the star of Oklahoma City Thunder Shai Gilgous-Alexander and the former Carmelo Anthony of New York Knicks.
Sky’s star joined Candace Parker, Diana Tauurasi, Sue Bird, Sabrina Ionescu and A’ja Wilson on the covers of the WNBA edition, which began with NBA 2K22, when the WNBA had its 25th anniversary.

The announcement occurred on the same day that Reebok announced its exclusive shoe. The footwear is seen on the deck.
“Of course we do everything big. Why not debut my exclusive shoe on the cover of NBA2K?!” She wrote in X.
However, WNBA fans were stunned that Reese was chosen about Indiana Fover Caitlin Clark star, who received the largest number of fans’ stars this year. While Reese again published a message in X, saying “being an angel Reese Hater must suck hahaha”, there were many criticisms for everyone.

Reese averages 13.3 points and 12.8 rebounds per game for the sky this season. She was an All-Star last season and will be in the game of stars at the end of this month.
The NBA 2K general manager, Zak Aritage, explained to TMZ Sports on Wednesday why Reese was chosen.
“NBA 2K26 is celebrating the bold, the confidants and the visionaries, and the All-Star Reese of the WNBA, Angel Reese, carries all that on and off the court,” said Armitage.
