Leader of the National Party of Awami, Maulana Khan Zeb, killed in shots in Bajaur

Maulana Khan Zeb, a main leader of the National Awami Party (ANP) and former candidate for the National Assembly of Bajaur, was tragically died dead by assailants not identified in Shindai Mor, just a few steps from the headquarters of Khar Tehsil, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday.

The attack also claimed the life of his police security officer, Sepahi Sher Zada, while three others suffered injuries in the incident. Injured individuals have been identified as Dr. Tariq, Shahsawar and Osman, all of which are currently receiving medical treatment.

The sources indicate that Maulana Khan Zeb had been campaigning for the next march of La Paz, scheduled for July 13 in Bajaur, when the assailants opened fire. The gunmen triggered indiscriminately, killing Maulana Khan Zeb and the police officer at the event, while the other three were injured.

In response to the attack, the workers of ANP and local residents have taken to the streets, carrying the coffin of the martyr towards Khar Bazaar to organize a protest. The funeral of Maulana Khan Zeb will take place on Friday, July 11 at 11 am in its native Nawagai area.

The authorities have initiated an investigation into the attack and are working to identify those responsible for the tragic incident.
