- Gemini has been seen at the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro with an UI 8
- There has not been an official Samsung announcement yet
- Google promised to bring Samsung to Gemini and Sony’s headphones
Google has been replacing Google assistant with Gemini for a while, and that deployment is now spreading to third -party products.
Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is the first third -party headphones to obtain an update of Gemini, but they will not be the last: Google has promised to take Gemini to more Samsung headphones and also Sony.
The news comes through Android Authority, which points out that the deployment seems to be very silent: it simply appears on the devices as a predetermined voice assistant option on the devices that run the One UI 8.
If you select that option, the ‘Hey Google’ command calls Gemini instead of the old assistant.
What headphones are Google Gemini?
We still do not know the specific models, but Google promised in May that Gemini would reach a variety of “Sony and Samsung” headphones.
This means that we are likely to see the update for at least the most recent models, such as the Sony WF-1000xm5, as well as its successors, which we believe they can arrive in the coming months.
As for Samsung models, we are waiting for the official announcement and more details. Until now we only know about Galaxy Buds 3 Pro compatibility through the One UI 8 update, but we do not know if users with an IU 7 will also be compatible, or what other Samsung models will also get the update.
Google invests a lot of time, energy and money in Gemini: yesterday announced a lot of new features that arrived in Android, including a large update for folding telephone users, improved search for Gemini and the beginning of GEMINI’s integration with native telephone applications such as Samsung’s notes, calendar applications and reminders.
