Islamabad:
The EAU have assured Pakistan their “total support” to accelerate visa processing for their citizens, particularly in the domain of work permits, as part of broader efforts to improve bilateral ties in security and immigration matters.
This guarantee came from the Deputy Minister and Interior Minister of the EAU, Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed al Nahyan, during a meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who is currently in the Gulf country in an official visit.
According to APP, the high-level meeting marked a key diplomatic exchange aimed at deepening cooperation in critical areas such as safety, counter-mud and simplified immigration protocols.
Minister Naqvi received a warm welcome upon his arrival at the Interior Ministry of the EAU, where he received an honor guard. He was formally presented to the high officials of the EAU before participating in extensive conversations with his counterpart and other officials.
A central focus of discussions was the facilitation of visa processes for Pakistani citizens, especially those who seek employment opportunities in the EAU.
