PML-N leader Senator Talal Chaudhry accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of conspiring against national interests and said those involved in the May 9 incidents were punished in accordance with the law.

Speaking to the media, Chaudhry stated: “The May 9 suspects were sentenced based on evidence and legal procedures. Globally, punishments are imposed in accordance with national laws. “No one claims that those involved in the incidents of May 9 are innocent.” He stressed that international laws were not violated in condemning the guilty.

Chaudhry criticized the PTI, alleging that the party has constantly attacked national interests. “The PTI used its funds to exert pressure against the interests of Pakistan. “They have always conspired against the country,” he stated.

He highlighted the importance of accountability in state governance, adding that the mastermind of the May 9 incidents, currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail, must also be punished. “There will be no agreements or amnesty. The punishments will continue according to the law,” he stated.

Defending Pakistan’s sovereignty, Talal Chaudhry commented: “Pakistan is a self-sufficient state and the world respects our laws. “The PTI leadership exploits its workers for political gains.”

He warned that acts of treason and rebellion would not be tolerated under any circumstances and promised that all those involved in the May 9 riots would face justice.
