Pindi orders expansion of Bazares de Sahulat


Rawalpindi:

The number of Bazares Sahulat in the Rawalpindi division will increase to provide essential products to citizens at reasonable rates.

By chairing a meeting, Rawalpindi’s commissioner engineer, Amir Khattak, instructed all attached commissioners to identify adequate locations for the establishment of these bazaars and obtained the NOCs required without delay. He emphasized the timely configuration of the markets to guarantee the availability of affordable goods for the public.

The commissioner also ordered the price magistrates to remain active in the field and guarantee transparency in all operations.

He requested a strict action against those involved in the creation of artificial inflation, stating that providing relief to people is the main priority of the government and all available resources must be used for this purpose.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hassan Waqar Cheem, coordination of the additional commissioner Syed Nazar Ali, additional attached commissioner Finance and Planning of Ramisha Javed, Municipal Corporation and other officials.

The authorities informed the commissioner about prices verification operations carried out in the last 24 hours in several Tehsils of the Rawalpindi district.

A total of 4761 inspections were made in Gujar Khan, 3850 in Kahuta, 1500 in Kallar Syedan, 5064 in Rawalpindi Cantt, 5230 in the city, 2948 in Saddar and 4995 in Taxila.

During these operations, 65 cases of overload were reported. The authorities imposed fines worth RS279,500, sealed seven stores and arrested 13 people.
